This is a general directory for the online production or R.J. Stefanski. There will also be a regularly updated list of collaborators, peers, and friends whose work he wants to share.

Soundcloud

His largest collection of material to be found, there are over 100 uploads ranging from shorter field recordings to 90 minute ambient mixes.

Mixcloud

As the title implies, no shorter recordings here - just most of Stefanski’s long form mixes in the experimental and ambient genres, including some exclusives not found on soundcloud. Another bonus with Mixcloud is that each mix has pop-up track info as you listen so you can follow along and discover who made your favorite section.

Facebook

Just the basics here - major announcements on new releases - and once life goes back to normal - upcoming shows and events (especially worth checking if you live near NYC or Detroit).

This is a relatively new feature, Stefanski plans to slowly create videos for many of his original soundscapes. So far there are two entries based on the psychedelic properties of observing nature in slow motion (both were made on his phone with footage obtained from Brooklyn’s Prospect Park and Fort Tilden beach.)

Youtube

No mixes at all - just the original productions which have been semi to fully distributed on some level. This collection has been steadily growing over quarantine, and most importantly is the arrival of merch: limited CDs, hand numbered art prints, and framed posters are all now for sale.

Bandcamp

A brand new development for Summer 2020 is the debut of releases on major streaming platforms. You can also now purchase three albums on itunes.

Apple Music / itunes

In addition to basically every streaming service out there, you can find a few releases on Spotify too.

Furthermore…

A space for friends, peers, collaborators, and those whose work I respect and think you should check out.

The only imagery on the site that is not mine belongs to two great photographers in Detroit
